Class Exercise 4 - Collection

In this collection, I use the primary colors and black, white, brown.
After coloring serveral sets, finally I get 6 satisfied outfits

It's really tiring when coloring those sets
However, I feel I am adapted to this activities
When I can create a new color matching and design the outfit,
a successful feeling are got and the outfits are improving at the same time

To comparing with the foreign country,
Hong Kong people or main of my firends like to wear achromatic colors mostly
Sometimes, they may wear in red or blue
But there will only be single color or mono-chromatic colors

That may because it is easier to carry and not so exaggerated in the mass
If they want to show their wearing character, they will focuse on layering

Also, one of the main reasons of lesser colors in Hong Kong people
because the hair colors of us is in Black Color
It's often to see people will paint their color lightness

Little Marc Jacobs on Cookies

Little Marc Jacobs, which is now just three seasons deep,
captures all the elements that have made the adult collections so successful

of coz, many possiblilty would appear in future

So what will it be?

The past three seasons, blue family seems to be a must of Little Marc Jacobs
So i do think blue will still remain in the coming season
For color scheme, analogic and contrast frequntly applied in the past three season



Now, I try to use analogic scheme in light pastel to show energetic of kids

Marc Jacobs has taken the fast food chain’s Happy Meal concept and
created the Little Marc Box, the perfect gift to mark the arrival of any newborn.
The limited-edition set, of which only 1,000 were produced.

Inside the box are pajamas in pink or claret and a customized bearbrick in turquoise or bronze.

Both of which bear the slogan, “Marc Who?”.
Which means the Little Marc Box comes in hideous or classy, frying pan or fire.

For kids, the layout color might not colorful enough to attract to stay longer
Also, the mannequines seem too high for cutomers to view

Although moms may the one who mainly decide what to buy,
we cann't forget how influential their lovely are

Inky blue mainly spark in the latest collection!!
You can see how charming kids could be.
Matching with different wild hair color,absolutely party time for kids!!

Blue family still the core of 09'spring but change in shade

The above ruffles little black dress with four tier in inky blue and
dark grand green in tier,definitely my favourite one!

On the boy wear inky blue tee but with wild mint-green hair is Cooool !!

Analogic scheme

Both boxes showing the application of analogic scheme but the left one in pale way

I found that boys wearing pink can also show how charming they are
With pale pink shorts at bottom but simple sleeve tee with thin-strips in grey tone,he look like a noble but in more casual way

Overall,with hightlight hair colour in inky blue and bright orange make the whole look looks more perfectly.

Blue color is mainly used in this collection like peacock blue, cyanine blue.....
The most impressed me is the hair color of the little models.
There are different hair colors in dressing different styling.
What an amazing thing is that they are totally matched with each other!

Monochronmatic Scheme

one hue format but used variations of value and intensity.
And the little girl with blue color hair highlight makes the dress more out-standing

Little M.J. 2 - 08's Fall Winter

Blue seems a lead for Little Marc Jacobs'08 autumn collection












The left one which is a little one piece dress
i love so much in this collection.

With fanciful repeat-pattern tier through the dress
and pattern in magenta ,purple and blue color,
that's really cool!!





No more orange-red and wathet but turn into deep blue and cerise!!!






Followings are pieces that i think interesting...




Tetrad scheme

Sweather with varies colour matching by using tetrad scheme to form asymmetry and irregular pattern
With good proportion of colour,likeness of making by mom,thats totally warm for winter.




Monochromatic scheme

i love this silk-skirt with big ribbon at waistband in magenta colourmatching with pale-purple print tee and a cardigan with strips in grey and magenta. It's pretty !!!




Contrast scheme

Cyan shirt and magenta tops with mouse's print also make a contrast.These 2 hues might not to be found on winter's collection frequently,i do think it's quite fresh for this whole collection.
